For our final post of an unimaginably difficult year, where there have been many professional triumphs but also so many new challenges to face and overcome, we are so pleased that we are still getting opportunities to celebrate the success of the team.
At the end of last week, Jo found out that she had passed her final set of exams to become a fully-fledged Architect and use the coveted ‘Architect’ title, which takes so much time and experience to achieve. Following a 3 year Bachelor Degree at the University of Nottingham, Jo first joined us to do her initial 1 year placement in 2014 and we have been lucky to have her as part of the team ever since, as she went on to complete her studies. A further 2 years of a Masters Degree at the University of Bath, joining us during the holidays to further her experience whilst she studied and then another 2 year placement with Orme full-time, learning and developing her skill set. The final step was a 1 year Post-Graduate Certificate at the University of the West of England, which after so much hard work, Jo successfully flew through the final stage of this on Friday and we will welcome her back to the team full-time after Christmas.
Architecture has such a dramatic impact on our living environment, it isn’t surprising that so much time is invested into those who hold the ultimate responsibility for delivering the buildings that we see everywhere we look everyday. A good design will add to the value of your home or efficiencies to your business, whilst ensuring your budget is used to maximum effect. Architects are highly skilled professionals who can navigate their way through planning rules, building regulations and contractual obligations and ensure the work is professionally done.
Congratulations Jo!
