The New Year saw the appointment of Orme Architecture to carry out a measured and condition survey and ultimately advise on proposed works at Hafod Scout Hostel in Snowdonia National Park.
The hostel has been used as a hostel for over 60 years, has been extended twice and has been continually maintained over the years by a mix of volunteers and contractors.
Initially we will be assessing the building for both its condition and performance and providing our clients with potential improvements for the building in its current form.
We’ll then be assessing these improvements against longer term objectives for increasing education of the outdoors for young people - an ever-increasing requirement in an ever-advancing world.
